ResoNet

Designed by William Hailiang Chen & Mark Francis Tynan

For the FRED 07 Event sponsored by the Arts Council

ResoNet visualises the resonant frequencies inherent in the natural environment, via the interaction of the public and surrounding elements detected by a LED net. By using Low-Fi techniques ResoNet creates a cascade of light triggered by the vibrations detected across the structure.

ResoNet is a collaborative installation and would like to thank all people involved in its production, especially: Tai Hollingsbee, Francesco Anselmo, & Andrew Cowell, from ARUP. Patrick Tynan, Shireen Hamdan, Amr Assaad, Fred Pittman, from MoD-L. Artist Chong Boon Pok. Steve Messam of FRED and the people of Kirkby Stephens.
